EPHEL DUATH: European Tour Cancelled
March 16, 2006Italian experimentalists EPHEL DUATH have been forced to cancel their previously announced European tour due to "inadequate professionalism" on the part of some of the promoters, according to a statement from the band.
"[For] quite some time the band had noticed a lack of cooperation between the various promoters who were involved in the organization and also the prearranged dates were more than those recently announced," the group write in the statement.
"The band is extremely sorry for this inconvenience and would have been willing to leave even if a few dates had not been confirmed but the promoters requested them to drop the whole tour so regretfully there is no alternative but to make this sad announcement.
"EPHEL DUATH are presently seeking an agent able to recover the cancelled concerts. For more info, write to [email protected].
"We would particularly like to apologize to our British fans as this tour included 5 dates in the U.K. EPHEL DUATH really enjoy playing in the U.K. During their last U.K. tours with THE LOCUST and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN the audience gave them such a warm welcome that they prefer it even to playing in Italy.
"EPHEL DUATH promise to return to the U.K. very soon and not just for five dates but for at least four times that number."
EPHEL DUATH's latest album, "Pain Necessary to Know", was released in Europe and in the States via Earache Records. The follow-up to "The Painter's Palette" was recorded at Studio 73 in Ravenna, Italy with producer Paso.
